Turpentine
Lukáš Cabala
The dystopian painter of the future, Terp, was created in the imagination of Slovak painter Juraj Toman from Trenčín. He approached writer and friend Lukáš Cabala with his idea, and thus a new book entitled Terpentín was born.
The birth of the boy Terp takes place against the backdrop of a dark present. A small shift is enough to turn reality into dystopia. We gradually get to know it together with the boy Terp, who would prefer to devote himself solely to painting. However, circumstances draw him into the whirlwind of events, and he can no longer afford to remain on the sidelines. With his friend Avril, his mentor the bookseller, and an outcast obsessed with collecting iron, he faces what is knocking on the gates of our still free world.
This is the second collaboration between writer Lukáš Cabala and painter Juraj Toman.
