Juraj Kušnierik´s book Music of the island is a great declaration of love - to Iceland, its people and its music. Partly a travelogue, partly a personal diary, partly the musical history - experienced firsthand. Meetings with artists, walks at interesting places and meeting something that is entirely absent in our latitudes - generosity of one man to another. It is fascinating too. Who plans to go to Iceland, especially to its capital, or is a fan of Icelandic music, should certainly not exclude Juraj´s book. And who didn´t plan to go to Iceland, will definitely start to think about it after this book!
